Job Description

Our Credit Risk team has the mission of making payment by invoice available to our customers as widely as possible while minimizing the risks of fraud and credit defaults. For this, we are relying on state-of-the-art data science models and cross-functional collaboration.

What you'll do

• Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists and engineers on improving our credit risk algorithms using data science methods
• Work on algorithms automatically trading off risk versus margin to achieve the best possible payment selection for each customer
• Analyze data (past customer behavior and potentially linking it to other data points) to recommend innovations based on the results
• Drive the design and development of tools to aid in operations and automation, such as creation of dashboards to improve monitoring risk
• Be the primary point of contact during fraud outbreaks – including analyses to identify causes and applying responses
• Define a roadmap that keeps pace with the dynamics in credit risk

What we expect from you

• University degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics / Social Sciences, Business, Computer Science or a related area
• Comprehensive experience with integrating data science methods into business processes and a good judgment of inference
• Practical experience in training and integrating machine learning models such as boosting algorithms
• High proficiency in Python and SQL; Java knowledge would be an advantage
• Analytical skills that put you at the top of the class
• Ability to tell a story about data, to explore and reveal patterns, and to communicate to stakeholders about your discoveries and hypotheses
• Experience with and solid knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWS
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to simplify and prioritize
